Book launch

The Trustees are pleased to announce that Bridget Gillard’s book,

‘Mother of Invention’

recounting the history of the Franciscan servants of Jesus and Mary (FSJM) at Posbury, and the initiatives of Mother Teresa, will be launched at Saint Stephen’s Church Exeter on Friday 9 May, from 6 pm to 9 pm. At 6 pm, or shortly afterwards, there will be introductory talks followed by drinks and canapés.

Annual Lecture 2025

The Revd Steve Chalke of Oasis Trust will deliver this year’s Posbury St Francis Trust Lecture.

The 3rd Posbury St Francis Trust Annual Lecture in partnership with the University of Exeter’s Centre for Ethics and Practical Theology will be held on

Steve Chalke is Minister of Oasis Church, London and a regular contributor to BBC’s Radio 4 ‘Thought for the Day’. He has a wide range of interests in Prison Reform, Education and Social Justice. He is the founder of Oasis Trust and a former United Nations Adviser on Human Trafficking. He holds the Guinness Record for the largest raiser of sponsorship money from a single event in 2005 raising £1.2 million for Oasis’s Schools in deprived areas!
